THIN SECTION PREPARATION

Identify the optical properties of your rock with the help of thin section processed by rotary polishing table that can produce 30 microns-thick thin section.

Our material technicians are equipped and skilled to prepare excellent petrographic slides from cuttings, core chips, sidewall cores, conventional core analysis plugs and hand or outcrop samples.

FULL SCANNED THIN SECTION

Our customized microscope enables rapid and easy acquisition of a high-resolution image of an entire thin section in transmitted light. Both parallel plane and cross-polarized nicol can be obtained for the same thin section.

DIGITIZING YOUR ROCK

Our recent developed virtual microscope allows geoscientists, researchers and students to analyze thin section without need a petrographic microscope. It is integrated with software and allows user to analyze prepared high-resolution images of thin section using familiar features including stage rotation, objective zoom, and switching between parallel and cross nicol.
